Healthy soil key ingredient for good lawns, landscapes

Want a lush, green lawn, or a beautiful landscape? Then be sure to take good care of your soil. It’s one of the most important things you can do. Treat your soil right, and you’ll be rewarded amply. Let it deteriorate, and your lawn and garden won’t meet your expectations.

Healthy soil is one of the most important aspects of organic-based landscaping and lawn care. For the past few decades, unfortunately, agribusinesses and lawn-care companies alike have emphasized the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, which can do great damage to the soil. Chemical fertilizers, aside from being toxic, are short-term plant boosters that leave behind salty residues in the soil. They prevent some plants from consuming necessary nutrients, and destroy beneficial microorganisms.

In recent years, though, many people have been turning to better, Earth-friendly techniques that restore the natural power of soil. Testimonial Just thought I would let you know that, with your help in interpreting the directions, I made the initial application of Turf Tea and Soil Conditioner to my yard last week. I didn't notice any difference until Sunday evening when we received a really hard rain. Usually such a hard rain produces puddles of briefly standing water in my backyard. I might add that this was true in the past even following the drudgery of core aeration. To my surprise, and delight this time there were none! Your products seem to have accomplished the impossible with only one application. To say that I am impressed would be a gross understatement. At this point I can only imagine what my yard will look like with their continued use but I think it is safe to say that I am truly sold on your products! Thanks again for all your help in getting me started.
