For these states all plants will be taken out of containers, the soil shaken off of the roots, and then roots dipped in water retention gel, then wrapped with moist medium and packaged to insure fresh and live delivery. Ajuga reptans or Carpet Bugle produces crowns and spreads by horizontal above ground stems called stolons. Carpet bugle has foliage reaching 4-6" in height and produces attractive 8-10" spikes bearing purple-blue flowers in late spring. This species itself has medium green foliage. Fall color is a striking reddish bronze and can hold its leaves all winter. Plant spacings: Plant 24 inches apart, 100 plants cover a 400 square foot area.
