Miscanthus purpurascens If you want great fall color in your landscape, then this is the one for you. Imagine this warm season grass beginning with bright green foliage that turns to a reddish color late summer, then burnt orange colors in the fall. Let the feathery wisps stay in the winter garden for texture and contrast. You will want to trim to the ground in spring as the feathers will persist most of the winter. This flame colored grass grows to a height of 5 foot with a 4 foot spread, so you will need to space accordingly. Our Grasses are shipped in ONE-GALLON containers, full root system, ready to plant, and start growing. Not to be confused with divisions, or field grown liners. Offers: 1, and 3 plants per offer. Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips: Miscanthus is easy to grow and is a good choice for beginners. It will grow in almost any soil, from loose sand to heavy clay, and does not require good drainage. Grow this grass in full sun except in warmer regions where some afternoon shade is best. Fertilization is not necessary. Divide Miscanthus in spring or early summer to give it time to establish its roots before winter arrives. Only in the mildest of climates should it be divided in the fall.

Cornus stolinifera or red-osier dogwood, also called red-twig dogwood because of its distinctive, and attractive deep red branches. It is a beautiful upright shrub that displays white blossoms in May giving way to bright red berries in the fall.
