Shasta Daisy Becky is a favorite low maintenance plant offering friendly daisy like flowers from June to September. Of the Shasta Daisy plants, the Becky cultivar offers more tolerance to southern and northern climates. Becky Shasta Daisy produces white petal flowers with golden yellow centers. Chosen as the 2003 Perennial Plant of the Year, Shasta Daisy Becky attracts butterflies, is deer resistant and great for mass plantings. Plant Shasta Daisies in full sun with well-drained soil. Deadhead the Shasta Daisy Becky to encourage another flush of blooms. After first round of blooms, this plant can be cut back to newer growth for a more tidy appearance. Shasta Daisies enjoy fertile soil and can be mulched with aged compost or other organic matter. After heavy frost, cut back to an inch or so above the ground. Grow the Becky Shasta Daisy in partial sunny areas in hot, humid climates just as in zone 9. Divide every 3 to 4 years as new growth begins in spring. Greenwood offers the Shasta Daisy Becky as heavily rooted plants grown in gallon containers (trade gallon). They are the perfect addition for both new and established gardens. Because they offer long-term impact for the landscape, they qualify as one of our choices as an investment landscape plant. Ships in fall and spring in gallon containers (trade gallon) Skip a step with Step Ups! Introducing, exclusively for Greenwood Nursery Club members and customers, our NEW STEP–UPS ™ Perennial Plant collection. What are Step-Ups ™? – Our perennials are cultivated and grown with an accelerated system. They are started in small containers, transplanted to quart containers, and then transplanted again to one gallon trade size containers. This expands the root system, making our plants perform like a two year perennial the very first year. Step-ups ™ perform the first year you plant them. You’re a step ahead with Step Ups!
