We cannot ship any container plants with soil into CA,AZ,OR, and WA. For these states all plants will be taken out of containers, the soil shaken off of the roots, and then roots dipped in water retention gel, then wrapped with moist medium and packaged to insure fresh and live delivery. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Gaillardia Burgundy (Blanket Flower) is one of the more striking Gaillardias producing burgundy wine red blooms that are almost 3 inches across. The Burgundy Gaillardia performs well in poor soil, yet doesn't like wet soil either during the growing or dormant seasons. Deadheading the Gaillardia Burgundy will keep it producing gorgeous burgundy colored blooms on into the fall season.

The Burgundy Gaillardia will mature as a 2-foot tall plant with a spread of up to 2 feet. Gaillardias are known to be deer and rabbit resistant plants. Divide them every 3 years in the spring to keep them looking their best. The Burgundy Gaillardia is a native cultivar.

Greenwood offers the Burgundy Gaillardia as heavily rooted plants grown in gallon containers (trade gallon). They are the perfect addition for both new and established gardens. Because they offer long-term impact for the landscape, they qualify as one of our choices as an investment landscape plant.
