Try this one as the base for fairy garden settings. You'll adore the tiny star shaped, blue flowers that appear intermittently spring to fall.
This versatile little plant has tiny green leaves that form a low, dense mat that is an evergreen ground cover in warmer climates or semi-evergreen in cooler ones. This flowering ground cover sprouts delightful small, light blue flowers bloom from spring to fall. While its mature height is just 3 inches, it spreads to 18 inches.
The Isotoma fluviatilis Blue star Creeper is often used in fairy gardens and container gardens where it forms a dense mat beneath taller plants, and a great visual green soft low flowering mat against any vibrant colored annual or perennial. If you grow tired of it in the container, at the end of growing season just take out of the container and separate into smaller chunks for replanting into more permanent areas as a ground cover beneath small deciduous trees, landscape shrubs and other perennial plants.
