Dixie Wood Fern is a hardy semi-evergreen fern with a slender vase shape at maturity. Dryopteris x australis can grow to 5' tall and should be spaced 3' apart and will grow in zones 5 to 9. This tall fern grows best in moist, rich, well drained soil and when planted in light to full shade.
Plant the Dixie Wood Fern is great for container gardens, lining pathways and woodland areas. Tolerates dries sites once it has established.
