Buddleia 'Grand Cascade' - Weeping Butterfly Bush

Imagine amazingly long soft lavender-purple butterfly bush flowers cascading down on a sturdy shrub frame. As many butterfly bush varieties are beginning to wind down in mid summer, the Grand Cascade is only just beginning to flower and continues to flower on into fall. 

This weeping buddleia is excellent as a corner shrub, backdrop for other lower growing perennials or for a summer season privacy barrier around a patio. The honey scented blossoms reach 12 to 14 inches long and 4 inches thick. Grows 5 to 6 feet tall by 7 to 8 feet wide. Space multiples approximately 7 to 9 feet apart for best growth.

Cut back the old wood in early spring to about 12 to 14 inches tall. Blooms on the new wood growth that appears in late spring to early summer.

Fast growing.

Plant in full sun.

Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soil.

Deer resistant.

Attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds.

Soft purple blooms.

Space 7 to 9 feet apart.

Honey scented blossoms.
